Eye safety is major hazard on the battlefield, accounting for 3077 injuries in 2005 alone. From January to May 2008, of the 339 eye injuries, only 5% of the people injured were known to be wearing eye safety devices.  Fortunately, over 90% of eye injuries can be prevented with some simple equipment. Theater ophthalmologists do what they can to save injured eyes, but if the injury isn’t detected fast enough, the eye(s) could be lost.

Ocular Trauma is a serious threat that can affect the rest of your life in a very negative way. Being partially blind or completely blind limits the number of things you are able to do. Why risk it?

Revision Eyewear produces a variety of eyewear products that wrap around to protect your eyes from extreme conditions (light, wind, even bullets cannot pierce the glasses as seen in this video).  The glasses can be customized to fit you perfectly, offer good ventilation, they don’t restrict your field of view, they’re lightweight, and they offer 100% UV protection.

On top of protecting your eyes from hazards, the variety of interchangeable lenses offers tactical benefits as well. Laser protective lenses, anti-glare lenses, High contrast lenses and others allow soldiers to be able to see what and where they might not have before.

These sorts of glasses can truly save people from lives of blindness, and there is no risk involved.
